If you’re on a low income and have limited savings, you may be eligible for support with essential home repairs. Home Repair Assistance (HRA) can help cover important work such as replacing a roof, fixing electrical issues, or repairing a broken heating system.
Funding is offered following a means-test and savings check. The cost of the repairs and any related fees are placed as a charge on your property, meaning the amount is repaid to the council when the property is sold or transferred in the future. No interest is added.
For full details, please refer to your council’s housing assistance policy. If you would like to make an enquiry, the service is here to help.
